WA Statewide Furniture Removals do not provide transit cover.
Whilst we maintain a high level of skill and care, transit accidents do happen and as such, we recommend you seek accidental damages cover for your move with Carts Removals Insurance. Click here.
Our business has public liability and motor vehicle insurance. This is not enough cover for your contents in transit.
All removals and uplifts are packed with extreme care, professionally and with a high skill level.
WASWFR places the onus on customers to ensure their move is insured with Carts.
WASWFR abide by the Consumer Protection Statement which reads: ” All removalists must act professionally, with due care and skill”.
However; Some contents may shift during transit BEYOND our control. If you do not have transit cover, you will not be able to claim against us.
We exclude ourselves of transit claims once you agree to our uplift terms and conditions.
Please read our terms and conditions here.
Please check with your home and contents insurer before your move if you already have cover for removals.
To the best of our ability, with the level of skill and care we have obtained from 20 years of relocating clients, we will ensure your move is as smooth as possible, incident free to the best of our abilities on the day.
What causes transit accidents?
Any unsudden settling of the load whilst in transit is caused by one or either of the following;
Night time driving and striking a kangaroo or cow.
Deteriorated highways, dirt roads, corrugated roads.
Motor vehicle accidents.
Content settling of incorrectly packaged boxes.
Plastic tubs breaking in transit.
Why do you not provide transit cover?
Removals is deemed high risk work to most insurance companies.
They refer to their tailored insurance packs as Marine Transit Cover.
This cover they provide only applies to: vehicle rollovers, fire and flood.
It does not cover accidental damages cover whilst in transit.
They prefer to place the blame on the packer/van foreman and exclude themselves from such claims.
We therefor simply do not see the need for cover with Marine transit cover.
No insurance we know off can allow a removalist to state they are “Fully Insured”.
